Here's a frame of my blunts/ hafted scrapers. Most were found in South Georgia,* some in South Alabama and even fewer in Central Florida.* 20200502_023259.webp20200502_023324.webp20200502_023358.webp

Nice collection.....

Love that south Georgia material. I like the hafted scrapers and you have some nice ones.

I agree Tnmountains, very colorful material from South Georgia.

Feel free to post any Blunt/Hafted Scrapers here.

9 days later and no blunt/ Hafted Scrapers pictures? I know that I'm not the only one here that has these types of artifacts.

Well, no great shakes here, but these are from one site in RI. We had an extensive Late Archaic quartz pebble industry up here, quartz was not quarried, points and scrapers all made from quartz pebbles.

Those are nice Charl, thanks for sharing. You can definitely tell they were from the same area, alot were probably from the same maker.

I only have 3 or 4 from Tilly's Hill N. California we don't find hafted scrapers very often . But I have a small frame from Ohio I will try and find .

Cool southfork, what kind of material is it? Kind of has a quartzite look to it.

I’m still pretty new, found my first artifact back in February...I think this would be considered a blunt

nice southfork, looks like the mailbox paid off :icon_thumright:

Here’s a few I found last year that will compliment Charlie’s Quartz Halfted Scrapers (excluding bottom right thumb-scraper)
It’s remarkable how many of these we find in the North East Coastal areas. Most (in my observation) appear to be made for a specific purpose rather than repurposed points (blunts) IMO, but I invite debate.

So many of the examples I see from other regions of America can be identified by an intact stem.

Love the impact fracture on the bifurcate. Hafted scrapers are an unappreciated artifact class. Also that Dover (Warsaw) flint on the right is one I always loved. Obviously found tons of it in western KY.

I'll take hafted scrapers all day long.
