✅ SOLVED Bone or coral on beach?

Found this on the beach in Texas. It bears a similarity to dead coral but nothing I've seen really matches up. There's little black stone looking things inside some of the holes. It really feels like a bone to me but I just don't have any idea what kind of bone would have this pattern and have black stones in the holes. Any ideas?
