Started with a Minelab xterra 505. Then Equinox 600 with stock coil, xl coil and sinper coil depending on circumstances. Now use a manticore mostly or oversized coil on equinox.
Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
1st picture with the glass masson jar lid are finds from bottle dump and its surrounding woods. Happy to have finally dug a dandy button even if it is a little crunchy. The milk glass crown is actually a stopper from a 19teens milk glass mouthwash bottle. All new meaning to crown top. No idea on the metal bow.

Then today I went to looking for the site of an 1870s+ farm. Spent the first 2 hours of a 4 hour hunt digging ammo... was kinda frustrated and told myself I wouldn't dig anymore signals under twenty today. Then a solid 23 signal at 2 arrows popped up. Was just trying to break my curse of no 1800s silver. Would have been happy with an 1899 barber. But this was something better an 1872 seated dime also a bucket lister. Wondered farther into the woods and got on a bunch of brass horse tack buckles, a toasted 193_ wheaty and a chunk of stoneware. Looks like I found the site... was burning day light and I had to walk back to car. Looks like I have to go back now that I know where to look.

A guess, but could the metal bow have been a frame to support some type of cloth, say a bow tie or something similar? Nice bunch of finds, great day.

I'd be right chuffed having a day out like you had, nice going.

Cool stoppers oldmexrat! They are always neat to find. The crown one like mine is from a sanitol bottle.

Based on my research and what I'm finding there it's lost 150+ year old farm and farm field so signal depth doesn't matter. Wheaty was deeper than seated dime. It's that pasty soil so if I find any Indians I'd expect them to be rough. Wheaty was pretty toasted.

Very Nice!!!! Congrats!!!!

Today was a ~2 hours stop before work. The usual ammo, I'm trying really hard to find a button in here. Got on 50% of a big tombac crotal bell and a pewter spoon? handle. Hard to find non ammo signals but if you do they are usually something good. The POISON sign was a surprise. Hope I didn't stumble on a superfund site... my detecting friend wants the sign. It's pretty well hidden for him because I didn't feel like carrying it out with me.
