Acme Chemical started in 1890, I found an address at 517 St Louis St. in the French Quarter. (About a mile and a half from my house. Pretty sure the building is all condos today) They were basically a patent medicine company, and had at least one problem with getting caught selling bunk medicine... I know they were in business into the 1920's but I'm not sure when they finally went out.
