Bought a book .....Saved a bird

Went to the local thrift store yesterday . I found a book on genealogy - The Coffin Family . I brought to the cashier , as I was handing her the money , she screamed , I asked her What's Wrong ? She said ''BIRD''
I looked behind me and there was a little goldfinch on the floor behind me . A lady from the jewelry department tried to pick it up , but it flew into my crotch and landed between my legs - I stepped back & another lady tried to catch it . It few away and landed on a top shelf , I was the tallest person there , so I reached up and gently picked him up . I brought him outside and released him .
I paid $3.00 for the book , I put it on Ebay and it has a $20.00 bid with 9 days to go . Maybe the bird was a good omen .
