Bounty Hunter Discovery 3300 at Radio Shack for $83.98

I was in Radio Shack and this weekend only they are having a 25 percent off the lowest price on clearance items. I noticed their top of the line MD Discovery 3300 is on closeout for $83.98. I just got my 3 weeks ago for $111.97 and I thought that was an excellent price. Monday it goes back to $111.97.

You can check their web site for stock # 63-3018 to see if a store near you has it in stock.

How do you like this detector?

I'm new at this hobby but so far I like it. The unit is easy to use. I only been out to the local park for about a hour and found some pocket change. A friend is suppose to show me some old house remains along the river so can't wait until I give it a serious workout. I picked it up because of the reviews and it has the features more expensive units have like pinpoint, notch mode and zap mode. Can't beat it for the price.

GLAD I read your post!!! What a deal. depth reading, notch, disc, ground balance, target ID, etc. for $84. Can't beat that.
Went to my radio shack, they only had one - a DIRTY customer return. Went to the next RS 15 miles away - brand new in box. with sales tax -$88.18.

Do you like the detector? Its really cheap for a detector. Wonder if it has any problems.

I air tested it. 8 inches on a dime. 11" on a quarter. ordered a coil cover. need that before I field test it. Don't want to scuff the coil. I'll use it as a secondary. Have a DFX now.

Where do you order the coil cover from? I was thinking of a plastic bag.
