Bounty Hunter Headphones, can you just use any headphones like the one used for music

I bought a pair of radio shack headphones with a mono jack, and volume control on each ear, so you can adjust volume for each ear seperately. Less than $40, seem to work well for me any way as hearing imparied in my left. I use them on my Discovery 2000 made by BH for RS

jc,

Sure you can, but the cord length will be the issue. I'm using Sony headphones with a long straight cord & a 1/4" adapter jack. I got my BH Tracker IV on ebay and the guy threw in some cheapie headphones as a bonus, but immediately I found the cord not long enough when I tried to dig - it would jerk the phones off my head because the cord was too short. So I grabbed up my long cord Sony phones and they have been fine. I devised a way to either hold the cord in my free hand or drape it over the arm cradle to keep it out of the way. Works for me!
