bounty hunter prospector need info

I have bounty hunter prospector I have had it maybe ten years. seems to work pretty good I only started using it. I am getting pretty good with the tones seem to only go three to four inch deep. I know its on the low end of detectors but very easy to use. I cant really
find this model for sale. has a closed 8 inch coil. is a open coil better and what would I use. very easy two dial and switch to three settings.

Id say just use it or upgrade your machine. My bh was cheep and I can hit a dime at 7".what kind of connector does your machine have?
