The boxes are steadily showing better results. Found five 40%-ers this time (1965, 1966, 1967(2), 1968-D). The bad news is, just when the regular merchant guy was starting to recognize me I saw him training a new guy this week. With all the transition among the young banking staff it's tough to keep a regular contact. Oh well.

Just in case I got skunked on halves I got $10 in casino pennies and got some decent finds -

Wheaties: 1941-D, 1950-D, 1956-D

Canadian: two more shiny 1964's, 1994, 1999

All in all a great start to June!

(BTW, this box had the same date/inspection stamp as the two previous ones)

No real appeal I guess.... Just because we don't see them too often I guess. I save all of the ones that I find... probably because I just don't want to find them again, haha.

But I guess it's just nice to find stuff that you don't see every day. But if you live on the border then you probably see several per ever 100 pennies.

gotcha, Yeah I see more than my share...Was hoping there was some extra value I didn't know about ;D Canadian quarters always trick me as they come out nicer than regulear quarters and I always think silver before I look at it close.

Haha, I know the feeling there! I think some others on here also get those canadian folders and try to collect a canadian collection just from roll hunting finds.

Down here in So. Cal. its the Mexican pesos that show up in the rolls of halves.

Dont be so quick to toss the Canadian quarters, they were silver from 1968 (pretty sure) and earlier. I picked some up down here in TX as well as some silver panamanian quarter equivalents for about a $1 total. Auctioneer didnt know they were silver, and I didnt enlighten him.
