boxes??

hi, i am mostly a coinshooter with a metal detector. was wondering what all this talk about boxes is. do you guys go to the bank and get boxes of halves??

There are a few ways you can do it. Go to a bank and ask if they have any halves on hand. If they do buy them all. You can also have your bank order you boxes from the fed reserve but you have to order them in 500.00 increments. Not all banks order coins so you have to find the ones that do. From what I have been reading there are also casinos that have halves. Im not quite sure what thats all about since this state doesn't allow gambling. :P

Yep. A standard box of halves is 50 rolls at $10 dollars a roll, so it costs you $500. You generally have to order them as they don't stock half dollars.

It isn't only halves. Not at all. You can search any denomination of money. Halves just seem to be very popular on this forum.
