Ok, I don't normally by jewelry because unless it is marked, I know absolutely nothing about it. I saw these two and rolled the dice. The first I think is coral and bone. The coral is dyed, I don't know how long they have been doing that. I have no idea who may have made it or it's value. The second on is a brass and jade bangle. No maker's mark on it anywhere.

The brass one appears to have malachite inlaid, not Jade. Not sure on the other but it appears to be man made beads. I say that because where the ivory color beads touch you an see it wasn't carved or smoothed, there's almost like a bump or tail. Does that make sense? Lol. Makes sense and I know what you're saying. I thought the same thing. I did heat up a tiny screwdriver to see if it melted, but it didn't so I wasn't sure.

I've got a pair of sterling malachite earrings, so I'll probably throw the bangle up with those.

Oh well, for $3 it was worth a gamble. Thanks!

The $3 gamble is worth it many times. I gamble for a couple dollars on jewelry frequently if it looks interesting. The research at home is worth the money even if the piece is not.

Good luck on the malachite sales!
