Found this tonight in some construction excavation dirtpiles. At first I thought I had found a belt plate Says 1492-1892 at bottom. Thin stamped brass construction.

Wow! That thing looks fragile as heck. Cool find and looks marvelous. Way to jump that construction sight and get some real treasure there mate. Any information on that piece would certainly be appreciated. Well done.:headbang:
 

Well, pieces around the edge fell off as as I picked it up off the ground. I am thinking this is a relic from the 1893 Columbian Exposition in Chicago. I am guessing it traveled by train from Chicago to Pueblo. The soil here is very harsh on all metals as it has a high lime content. I love that finding relics give me the inspiration to study the history of significant past events.
