I'm confused. No surprise there. Is it 2 pictures of the "top" and one of the bottom? Is the number on the Top?

My guess is the number is on the "bottom", the two "top" pictures show a design element (simple line)
that coupled with the curved feature, lead me to believe that would be the shown or top side.

I looked at many instruments from trumpets to clarinets, none have anything similar, I may be very far
off on my assumption that this is from a musical instrument.

EDIT: The "tube" is between 5/32s and 11/64s (go/no go)

(yep, used drill bits, the 5/32s bit is somewhat "sloppy" in that bore and the 11/64s does not fit)

I have one around here too that I found years ago when first started detecting. I have no idea what it is.

How about a side shot. I still can't figure out exactly what it's shape is.

That's what the bottom photo looks like but I can't "see" it in the top two.

Best I could get at the moment, batteries died in the camera. (kid was taking pics of the moon)

I will try to post better pics tomorrow, bottom (with the #12 stamped into it) is flat and level
with the "tube".

The rounded "top" is slightly higher than the "tube" and tapers down slightly (gets slightly thinner)
towards the opposite end.
