✅ SOLVED brass gear to what?

I found this on a farm . I don't think it coulf carry much of a load with small brass teeth. The shaft is steel ,but the other parts are brass as well.

A couple of the pieces on the shaft look like they have cam lobes. It this true?

It's the magneto gear for an old crank telephone. Tony

Tony in SC ...thank you sir...I would guess this family probably had the first telephone in this general area, so that would fit very well. if you are sure & I am not doubting you then I will give it to the land owner as his farm has a lot of items of historical intrest & he may want to display it.
