My boss asked me to identify the following object, which I cannot:
I have not held the item, so I cannot answer all questions. I know the following:
It appears to be solid brass.
It says that it was made in Brandenburg, Germany on it somewhere.
The thumbscrew on it can be loosened to allow the base to swing the other direction.
The base on which it stands is concave, similar to a shoehorn.
Ideas?
