✅ SOLVED Brass piece

Found this brass piece at what i think may be slave quarters,but not for sure. 226.webp227.webp228.webp229.webp230.webp231.webp
 

Your find appears to be the "business" part of an adjustable candle holder, missing its "slider, and the flared collar at its top, and broken off from the candleholder's saucer-shaped base. See photo below. That type dates from approximately the mid-1800s to the early-1900s.
