Hi everyone, I bought a old boat off eBay. Upon picking it up the owner gave me three totes of stuff for the boat...well not everything in the totes was actually for the boat.
Including these ten brass rings. These appear to be new. Any ideas what there actually for? They measure 1/16" thick...

Are they solid or folded? They look like gaskets. I have old hit & miss engines that use those for head gaskets. Some marine engines used them also(Hercules). Tony

6 3/4" would be a pretty large cylinder, but I think Tony is on the right track

They appear to be solid. The odd thing is the guy I got the boat from was not mechanically inclined at all. I hadn't thought about the possibility of gaskets but I can see how that's a strong possibility.

They could be gaskets for a pump, but I just sold a Fairbanks Morse single cylinder engine that had a 14" Bore. Tony

Conflat Flange (CF) Copper Gaskets CF Size 6.75 inch, 6 1/2 inch - 1 each, A2415003CU0130ZZ

Could it be one of these?

Conflat Flange (CF) Copper Gaskets CF Size 6.75" - 1 each

These conflat copper conflat gaskets fit a conflat flange size of 6.75 inches. ConFlat (CF) flanges are used for ultra-high vacuum applications. These fittings use a copper gasket and knife-edge flanges to achieve the high vacuum seal and can operate down to 10-13 torr (10-11 Pa) and can be heated to 450 C for bake-out. North American flange sizes are given by flange outer diameter in inches: 1-1/3 ("mini conflat"), 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 13, 14 and 16. In Europe and Asia, sizes are given by tube inner diameter in millimeters: DN16, DN40, DN63, DN100, DN160, DN200, DN250. These vacuum fittings are made of corrosive resistant stainless steel.
