Breaking in a new swinger!

Got my three year old granddaughter out to swing the MD a little tonight. I salted the yard with Hersey's Kisses when she wasn't looking and then we started hunting with papa's special tool. Wasn't sure about picking up the first one when the machine beeped, but after that she trying to look ahead of the coil to see the Kisses. She hasn't become a die hard detectorist but did suggest that we need to wait a few days and go out again to see anymore come. It was fun for me and better than tv. plus I swiped a kiss for myself!

I have a heck of a time getting my kids out of the house to hunt with me.

I do not use candy, just old-fashioned guilt.

That's awesome. Glad you got to spend some quality time together. Sprinkle some coins around and next time when she finds them use it to treat her to some ice cream. That will get her hooked for sure

That is a good idea, i might try to find some of them coin shaped chocolates wrapped in gold foil like you used to get. i might get my wife out. oops i better hush.
