Ok I know I should be able to think this one through myself, but just got off work and I'm tired. I've watched everybody use their rock smashers. I have my post driver almost ready to go but some of the rocks I want to start with are fairly large 10 to 12 inchs and maybe 5 inches wide or thick should I wrap them up in something to break them down into more manageable size??

Yup, just get some old towels or blankets, wrap them up and smash em. :)
Towels wont last long like this, you could put a 2x4 over them to help from ripping up the blanket or towel with every smash.

I found that putting them in a hot fire makes even the toughest rock crumble in your hand, be careful of fumes though. Not sure how safe this method is.
