Briwax???

I am looking to preserve a 24 pound Coehorn shell I found recently and I have heard good things about Briwax. The question I have is what color wax do I use? One gentleman said he used a "dark color" but I don't want to mess this up so I am looking for advice.

Hmmm..... so now I'm down to either ebony or dark brown... Thanks for the info!
