Broke into the 1800's for the first time this year ! SILVER !
I hope this never ends ! As you all know I find mainly rings and clad at schools . This weekend has been a dream weekend for me ! Today it happened again . I hunted a school around the same location as yesterday's school hunt . I have hunted this school many times and in the past it has given up a few silver coins . The oldest until today was a 1929 Standing Liberty quarter . At 8 inches I had a VDI of +79 but it was really jumpy . It would go as low as +2 and even hit a negative sometimes . I dug it only because of the silver I had found in the past at this school . It turns out to be a 1897O Barber quarter ! It's very worn but I'll take ! I added the picture of the old piece of chain link that made the VDI so jumpy .
Clad was $6.59 for two hours .
I can't wait to get back out again !
