Broken Newnan

Broken Newnan type point found in Seminole County today. It rained really hard yesterday from the hurricane so I walked the retention pond being dug on my jobsite. They've gotten down into some old dirt & I found this broken point. Looks heat treated but it was crudely made. The job site is very close to Lake Lotus. If not broken it would have been 5" or more.

nice, I imagine the heavy rains will be a plus for hunting relics.

Water action is a double edge sword nobody wants flooding but it definitely exposes things, I’d definitely be working slower with my eye to the ground after finding that, maybe hand around late or show up early
