Had another foot of snow yesterday only three days after the 26" melted off that we had two weeks ago. Thankfully it hasn't been a cold winter the surf is ice free and the water was like glass today. This beach was public back to the 40's and although no gold today it was fun. Never made it more then fifty yards. "I don't think the water was ever hunted here".

Thanks for looking.

Good chance of gold with all that lead! You've got the sinker marker cornered.

Makes me want to get my Mark 2 out & surf hunt. Great finds you want need to buy weights for the next fish outing. Keep trying jewelry will happen. Rather cool here along the Texas Gulf Coast - water temp. bout 50F plenty of rain fall & I don't envy your snow fall.

Do you use stock shaft or had an upgradeon your MKII ?

No straight shaft. No chest mount. I'm only in the water usually up to my waste. Still doin it "Old School".

Where can I find out about MK II upgrades? I am considering purchasing one in a few months and would like to know what if any upgrades I should get.
I will only be hunting shallow surf probably waist deep at most.

From Andersondetectors. They have various solutions, straight shaft short (scuba) or long. They even have a tailored solution where you send the length you want.

MKII is widely used by military and Security forces and Anderson has the "shaft" market for many applications with this machine.
