Hit a frequently, visit antique store coming home yesterday and had a look. I like it when I see the little label pins all in a tray at these places. I have found many gold ones over the years and some are not marked, so you need to look them over well. Whats funny, is some are marked and they still have prices of 2 to 4 bucks on them. This one about dime size, isn't marked, but it's most likely 10K, as most I find on eBay are 10K. I look em over well with my loop when not marked on how it's constructed, in to the engraving for any underlying base metal and all the corners for wear of gold fill. This one after close inspection, gets a Big 10-4...It's a beautiful little thing, with wonderful hand engraving. It a gold key for the Society Phi Beta Kappa. On the back it's inscribed with the owners name and year 1940. It was 2 bucks. It's nice when gold isn't marked. The best thing I found years back out of this same antique store in the mountains was a 1958 I think Zippo loss proof lighter. It was from the sportsman's series and had an image of a snow skier in slalom skiing action. It was 10 bucks and it sold for $399. on eBay.
