I have to make a correction to the buckle ID that I posted here Saturday. https://www.treasurenet.com/threads/literally-the-last-target-of-the-day.678781/#post-7028261. It has been correctly identified as a US Militia shoulder belt plate 1812-1830. It may have been worn as a belt plate during the civil war but it is not a CS plate. I apologize for any confusion.

Thanks. As far as I know, other than a couple reals and a 1776 Hibernia I found about five years ago at a different field, this is the oldest relic from the site. But, this site has been hunted for many many years and older stuff may have been found.
Either way this plate is rare for this part of the country.
