Buckle

Have had this buckle in my stash for a long time,have yet to ID it in my search. Can you buckle experts help out and is it a sword buckle? Thanks as always.

Looks like a militia buckle ("Spoon & Wreath" style sword belt).

Above is a similar buckle.

Nice find! Looks like a New York buckle... that same design was used on some New York buttons..
