Haha nice IDs! I noticed some lettering on the snaffle bit part. I believe it says "C.B. MFG CO". I need to google that more but can we date this thing approximately with that info?

I don't know how to date the snaffle, but I found one a few weeks ago at a very early site. The site had many buttons from flat pewter, big flat Dandy buttons, Tombac, but only one 2 piece and one 4 hole button. But that still does not tell the age of the bit. Mine is all brass and I just looked for a makers mark, and it does not

the other things were part of suspenders

Awesome finds CTwoods -- Mine was found in RI woods :)
Wish mine was intact like yours. I'll have to go over that site again for sure.
