Buffalo Nickel found suggestions on how to clean?

Found a buffalo nickel and it is "tarnished". Dug at 7" in between two big roots. Almost gave up
Found several cald coins and new pennies. Any suggestions on how to clean the old nickel?

Don't clean it! Clean the dirt off and enjoy it. Cleaning it ruins any value it has.
