Found this at the plantation site. It was so crusted over that it took three days of electrolysis to remove most of the crust. It looks old and I haven't been able to find pictures of any others like it.

One side reads: Manufactured only by New Orleans Acid & Fertilizer Co.

The reverse side reads: Bulldog Brands Fertilizer (Trade Mark)

Not the Spanish silver I thought it was when I pulled it from the hole but still interesting.

I love all those old tokens, always interesting, still would have been nice if it had been your first choice. Always exciting the mysteries of metal detecting.
 

Hello plumbcrazy. Nice find. Every hole can't have silver lining, that would be boring. I really enjoy seeing items like this that have a story behind them. Let us know when you find out the story behind this one. Thanks for posting. C9
