Bullet Found?

Hi folks, I have done a lot of research on this site regarding bullets but haven't found anything quite like what I found yesterday. I was hoping someone could at least give me a ballpark date. I know it will be tough. This bullet is pretty flat (If it is a bullet). I found it in the woods about 6 inches down. The "round" part is roughly 3/8" but since it's fairly flat, I could be off a little. Thank you!

Definitely a bullet,looks like an expanded jacketed boat tail,again just a guess.
