During the summer months I do a lot of tot lot detecting, rarely is there a tot lot that I do not find a bullet in the mulch. I used to think that crime was rampant, but I have come to the conclusion, that like all the shot gun shells I find whilst forest detecting, hunters blow their loads all over the place and the ensuing deluge of lead and copper end up buried in the trees that get mulched. In turn that mulch makes it to a tot lot which in turn gets detected by us.

Yea I find .22 bullets in the weirdest of places lol

Well I certainly hope that is right!! I does make sense. What came to my mind first was a guy on New Years firing his rifle up into the sky and the round falling into the tot lot lol.

Thanks for the comment.
