Bullseye button, tombac, .54 cal roundness

Hit a Union camp farm in Western Md. This place has been hammered. Started day with 2” round disk I think may be horse related and then large buckle type thing.
Got bullseye, tombac, little button , large toasted copper. Found 64 nickle and other clad and Lincoln’s all at one spot in middle of farm field. Got 2 .31 cal roundballs with dimples, odd! Finally at end of day got .54 cal roundball. Lots of other items.

I did not but was curious about that piece. It has a raised I across the flat end and then that half circle on other end. I believe it’s copper. Did it come in 2 pieces?

Well done on the assortment of recoveries.
Here is an example of a complete ring.
Pivoted/hinged on the upper side, then the section slid together and a pin was placed through the ring to secure.
They came in various sizes probably also.
