Burned Up 1916 Mercury Dime Found
I went to a corner lot where a fire had gutted a house earlier in the year. When the house was there I found a 1953 Rosie dime. Today I found a burnt and slightly melted 1916 Mercury dime. I can’t see the mint mark, one can only wonder if it was the high dollar D mint. I guess we will never know. I also found a Madonna Inn elongated penny, a Lompoc VAFB Soccer pin, a metal backed button with an Eagle and E. Pluribus Unum banner, a possible lip stick tube and a melted glob that locked on half dollar. It shined up like silver and weighs the same as a half dollar. Might be a melted half. It was really trashy, hard to get a good lock. I need to go back with snipe.
