Bust Half Dollar

I've seen, I believe, an 1818 8 over 7 half dollar at the past few gun shows for $110 in about F-VF condition. If I see it again should I buy it?

I would say this is a normal price. It is within the range of the redbook with I feel is a little on the high end of prices sometimes. I would be watching coin auctions to see what they are coin for like ebay or you may even be able to find one on heritage. But the final answer is ....its worth what you will pay for it, just be sure you know what you are buying for I have learned that lesson a few times

Thanks silvereagle, I think it was at least a VF possibly an XF. I think I might try to get some money saved to buy it.

Hope this helps.Really a coin is only worth what you are willing to pay for it.Unless it is a very desirable
and hard to find collectable coin.That is just my opinion.
