found this button today, backmrk reads wadhams ccs.co. superfine, is this old and is it military? also reposting the brass eagle tag with plain back.

It is a 1-piece brass civilian-clothing "Fashion" button. Its Wadhams, Coe & Co. backmark dates it strictly from 1835 to 1837.

that tag still gets me! i remember it. Im still going with some kinda wildlife tag.

I think the hole in the 'chip' was made later. Looks like a gaming or poker chip to me (early type).
