Button.... Date? Value?

First time posting pics so i hope this works.. I found this button in the yard of an 1800's house at about 7" deep. It is about the same size as a dime. The front says "United States Coast Guard Reserve" and the back says " Sterling By Blackinton". Any help would be appreciated.

Whoa! Definitely didnt have to tell you what the front and back said lol.. Can someone tell me how to make em smaller?

(assuming you have microsoft windows)

1. Open the file using the program "Microsoft Paint"
2. Select "Image" from the top, and then select "Stretch/Skew"
3. Resize your picture by changing the size percentage for "stretch"...
4. Save your picture as a .jpg file, and try posting it again.

The United States Coast Guard Reserve was formed as a military reserve component of the United States Coast Guard on February 19, 1941.

The Blackinton company was making sterling everything at that time... silverwear and jewelry to include military items during WW II.

Your pin is NO older than 1941.

Hopefully we can narrow it down a little more for you.
