I recently found this button, and i thought i was just a modern button. So i took a torch to it to try to help get some of the crusty dirt off of it. Well i got it red hot and then i saw some letters. So i took it inside and used an electrolist i have ( made out of old cell phone charger) and that got it pretty clean. So i did some research on the name on the back and it came up with the time period of 1840-1850s. Oldest thing i have found so far that im aware of. So just goes to show you something smaller then a dime sometimes is pretty cool find. I am trying to post pics of the button but it wont work anyone have an info on how to do this.
