Button-First non-clad find.....

Found this today, First find that wasn't clad. Any idea's what the history of this button might be?

Hi Ed,
I have checked the back and there is nothing but the partially broken loop. Just gonna be a mystery I think. I've been searching all post having to do with buttons, kind of a needle in a haystack project for now.
