✅ SOLVED Button found in New Orleans

I need help IDing this button that I found at an old park in New Orleans. Cleaned it minimally so far. Any idea of what it is?

That looks very similar if not exact. What is that?

Sorry ,, I should have mentioned that .. It is actually your button that I rotated and and played with the enhancing on , trying to see more detail.

Looks like “S H W” or “M H S”?

Not sure though.

Yes, I will try to remove the gunk this evening. There is definitely at least one anchor on the button.

I cleaned it up. Its a US Marine Hospital Service button from 1880.

New Orleans is one of my favorite places as well. LA is a metal detectorist friendly state in general. I would also be interested in any invitation to hunt in LA!
