yes that would help i am not sure i dont think it is lead it might be pewter it is about 3/16s thick

Some concho's have that look... hard to tell with the fuzzy picture.

like i said i found an 1883 dime and a 177 something spanish coin right in the same area and they were all 1 1/2 inches down so i think it must be from the 1800s the building on the property was built in 1862 i dont think anyone has ever hunted it should i clean it up and what do you think i should use thanks i hope im not being a pest ken

Um... if you have permission to detect the area... detect it all you can. Use what has obviously already worked!

Since it is plain, and slightly concave, it is probably a concho. (see second concho row)
