Button thingy? Couple metal pieces?

Did some more MD in the field that has produced some nice finds over the last couple weeks. I found these very interesting items, and have no idea what they could be. The flat button thing is of interest, since there is writing and three small stars on it. Any help IDing would be appreciated!

I am having a tough time getting a clear picture of the button, but from what I can see I would say it is a blue jean type button.

Completely agree with Duggap. Even without being able to read it, I feel certain that it's a vintage work clothes button.
