Have this button with the City of Philadelphia sheild but with no back marks.Question,without a back mark is such a button an official city button and what city officials or departments would have had thim?Thanks for any info.HH

Possably Nursing ?? What is on the Ribbon across from Philadelphia ?? "MANETO ?"

the Only MANETO I could find is a Bone Disease that when your Knees are together , your ankels are seperated. This may explain the Bent Scale. Maby a Bone Specialists or Clinic Button ? BUCKRAM ?

was just on the web checking to and found that Philadelphia Maneto shield was adopted Feb,14,1874 and this part means Let Brotherly Continue, From the New Testment.And was said to be the last remarks of William Penn:s last descendant to gaze upon the city in the 1800,s That Our City of Brotherly Love Continue.No clue of the age of the button.Thanks for your help and reply.Hope the snow melts soon for you.HH

Wow , Just Checked it out, Guess I should have put Philadelphia in front of Maneto in the first place before I did the search? ? Definately a cool Find. I got about a Foot of snow here yet. Gonna Be awhile I guess. Rain ? monday, so far........... My luck It wont warm up & it'll be another 6 to 12? ? Happy hunting? jeff
