I was hunting in the woods sunday on what used to be a old incline built in 1895 and operated to the 1920's. Was hoping to find some change but only thing uncovered was these eagle buttons. So did a yard later on that has 1900's foundation and found this George Washington commemorative coin.

Thanks. I think the coin isn't that old. Maybe 60's. it's definitely not silver. It has GW on front and the back has a story about. No value markings on the coin and it seemed to start chipping when it was cleaned. Something new though

It's still pretty cool in my books. I enjoy just finding historical things. About the most impressive find I have so far is a fired Minnie Ball and possible Carbon rod chunk from an old carbide battery, I still got giddy as a schoolgirl when they came out of the dirt tho! :icon_thumleft:
