Buttons, but are they old? Who may have worn these?

ANother plantation find. They are plastic, feeling. Anyone know if they know who may have most likley worn these.

The black one looks like Victorian Jet (if it isn't plastic). Could be as old as 1860 but more likely late 19th C. If the other one is plastic, you can certainly draw your own conclusion about it's age.
