buying a Garrett Ace 150 Metal Detector

hi I'm new and i was wondering what you guys think of this metal detector for a beginner Garrett Ace 150 Metal Detector i would appreciate any feedback on this detector thank you

the ace 150 is ok but if i were you i would get together the extra $60 or $70 bucks and get the ace 250. its well worth the extra money in my opinion. ( pinpointing,better depth gauge,better target id,better sensativity/depth adjustment,battery condition indicator).........just my opinion.

i have a question is the search coil waterproof cause if i decide to take it near the ocean or A lake

the search coil yes......the control box no. as long as you dont drop it in the lake you should be fine.
