I found these three blades together in a field last year. Two of them have a serration near the tip for some reason. I haven't seen this duplicated on any of my other blades that came from this field.

Very cool. I hoped you marked the area on a personal map. If these were together there might be more! Personally, I would love to say they look like they were by the same hand. But probably not.
Great find!

Thanks for the post Zeawolf! I'm hoping to find a few more of them this year. All three came from the upper corner of my field. I took about three steps and found them. What a way to start the day off! I went to the field this morning hoping to get to look, but it hadn't been plowed. However, I saw the tractor sitting in front of the barn with the plow hooked up behind it. Won't be long now! Hopefully they plowed it this afternoon and I will get to walk it on Sunday. It's supposed to rain tonight and tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing more of your finds.

Good luck!

Very nice finds. A cache of any type is great, isn't it?! Congratulations and continued good hunting.

Thanks for posting TreasureTales! It makes you wonder if there could have been a bunch more just below the surface. I heard of a guy here in Central Ky finding a cache of Turkeytail points in a tobacco field. He dug it out and found over 100 of them. However, most were broken or "killed". He found them in darker soil that must have been what was left of the "carrying bag" so to speak. I would have been giggling like a schoolgirl if I would have found something like that!

Good luck!

I'll have to post the cache I found. I'd definitely check that spot again. I found one cache with 14 blades, and then another with about 9 and a few smaller ones. CHECK THAT SPOT!

I would be glued to that field....I have never found a cache of anything- must be a rush!

Need some help? Maybe two could dig faster? I'll giggle like the school girl so you don't embarrass yourself. Nice, very nice!

Did you ever read about the Pickneyville, kentucky cache? Back in the '30s a famer found a few blades together after plowing so they started digging and ended up with more than 300. I've seen pics of them, awesome find. Something to think about.

Nice blades.
Johhny x man id love to see the pics of the blades you found!!!! ;D

Well I'm out at my parents house. and I found my display of my cache finds. And I guess I forgot my count. My first cache I found was of 19 different size blades. I'll try to get the display table out of the closet and post some pics. Also we hit the field that never fails today, 2 REALLY NICE keepers.

Come on down! If we found a good cache, I'd probably dig a hole to China by the time I was done! If we found a cache, you'd start giggling then I'd start giggling and the farmer would think we were both nuts! ;D

Thanks for the post!

Good luck!

I didn't hear about that one. My goodness! 300 blades on one outing! That is incredible!

Good luck!

Hey Cannonman! I took about 3 steps into the field and saw them sticking up out of the dirt. It would have made one heck of an instu! I was too excited and didn't think anything about the camera.

Good luck!
