Calhoun County,etc

As a former resident of Roane County (25 years ago) I was wondering if anybody ever searched or found two jars of coins that were years ago hidden around Cloe in Calhoun County by a old gentleman who died before he could ever reveal where he hid them. I think this happened in the forties. Also, there was a tale of a country drummer (sales person) who hid his money along a ridge in the south Calhoun-Clay county area. This story seems to jump around and is said to have happened several places but I heard it a time or two from locals. I'm in Florida now and wouldn't have time to hunt if it was still there.
