I was out in San Diego for some work and (of course) I brought a heater with me to hit the beaches. I wasn't sure what my schedule would be but I was already planning on late nights and little sleep if it came to that, just to get a shot at hitting some So Cal beaches. As it turns out the work was even less than anticipated so there was much more time to hunt than I could have hoped for! In six days I managed six hunts so I was pretty happy with how it worked out.
My first night there I reconed a beach close to where I was staying and met a nice gentleman and his wife who had been hunting there. Can't remember their names but he was using a Tesoro Sand Shark. We shared info and discussed finds. He was nice enough to tell me about some of his hot spots (though his wife jokingly kept saying "stop, you're giving up too much info"! LOL).
After a night hunt, I was back out the following day when I was able to run into and meet too local hunters Kevin (jeepGold) and Alejandro (ProCali) who were also very nice and discussed some of their finds and locations as well. Alex and I were able to link up my last day there and hunt together for a few hours and I had a great time!
All in all it was a great trip and I met some really cool people. I didn't get any of that good California gold but I was still happy with all the silver I did come home with. Hopefully there will be more opportunities like this one in the future....and to the guys I met, you are welcome to come visit anytime out to the right coast!
I never got a total clad count. Most of it was crapped up beyond hope and what I didn't use for parking I asked the rental car return guy to give to some homeless person on his way home. He happily agreed and was really interested in how I found it all and thought it was cool I'd wanna give it away. It was probably less than $20 total but again, a lot of it is too far gone.
I'll post the pictures of the finds from each hunt and then at the ones there will be photos of some of the places I went to( Coronado, Imperial Beach, Pacific Beach, La Jolla and a couple other spots). Out of respect for the guys who hunt these beaches I won't say what I found where or any of the intel that they may have given up along the way about what places give up the goods. Gotta earn your way right?
Sitting in the airport now ready to go. Gotta get home, charge my heater and get back out to our beaches back home! Enjoy the pictures! There is a BUNCH of em!

I found this guy on the beach late night. He was tagged and I was able to locate a number to report it.
