You know it's been a while since I posted some finds, I just haven't seen too much noteworthy until today!
Happy to get out digging again with Iron Patch recently and walking down some fields. Some weren't the right ones but a couple yesterday were exactly the right ones!

We got permission for a couple of new fields in a great early area. IP found the site by grabbing a decent Rev War pewter right away so you know anything great can show up.

And..something great did show up...pretty nice 1782 2R!
I think it's been well over a decade since I've last got one those; but really any Spanish is awesome.
We moved on the next place and first signal...bang...Coast Guard button! A new one for me!
I really thought that we hit another great site but it had a lot of junk and the few coins I got there were only last century large cents so the buttons age didn't sync with coins so that place needs a little more attention.
We ended up trying a couple of other fields with little or no success but I did pull out a George ll copper right by the edge of the road on our way home so there's another good reason to get back out there!

Congrats on pulling that 2 Real IH. :occasion14: Finds like that feed the fire.

What's the date of the Coast Guard button?

Congrats sir! That 2R is really something special.

The Colchester site dates them 1820- 1836
I suppose we can trust them
OK took a closer look. It can't be that date range as it spans 2 Kings with 1 Crown type. If I had to guess based on the Crown I would say William IV period.1830-37

Congrats on the 2 reale and other nice finds

The rectagular green piece with the disk , looks like an old coin shooter arm.
