I went to my very trashiest wooded park spot in the city after work today , This spot can drive you nuts ! Yet I have made some very nice finds here in the past . One that made banner and another that I felt should have ! The old can be on top and the new can be on the bottom and viceversa ! I have dug a foot down for malt liquor caps and have found old flat buttons on top of the ground ! I hardly ever get any coins . But there is always something to dig , A real hodgepodge of find pics here ! The only find I feel is really old is the Broach or perhaps dress sash decoration since it had a big closed loop :icon_scratch: with the Amber stone or glass ! This piece was deep ! about a foot ! But at this site who Knows ??? Thanks for looking and happy Treasure hunting

Awesome cutlery and brooch! That looks like Topaz (or Citrine) to me in the brooch, but I could be wrong. Wicked finds, man.

One of these days, I'll come to Bangor for some poker and detecting. I heard the new casino there is quite nice. :)

That's a park that will keep on giving for a long time. The trashier, the better.

Been there & done that at house sites MR but you pulled some nice relics-esp. jewelry. HH, Q.

That is some very interesting JUNK.

Thanks Greek ! I will trade all but the brooch for the artillary Button you found this past weekend :laughing7: By the way I do not live in Bangor anymore . I moved to Portland 3 years ago . But I do go to the casino in Bangor to play poker with my brother now and again . I also have some sites we could hit in Bangor or Portland ! Contact me if you ever do decide to come down ! I would be thrilled to go digging and card playing with you ! MaineRelic

Interesting how some of the stuff can be turned around (old on top, new on bottom) I have seen this too. I have found allot of stuff like this also, shame with all the tech stuff there isn't a machine you can put a date on finds, haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Good finds.... Ok your junky spot is junky, but have you ever found a buried engine block? My junky spot is so junky that my best finds are square nails and horse harness buckles!
